History was rewritten over the weekend at the Bomet IAAF Stadium as Cheptalal Girls Secondary School ended a 16-year reign of volleyball dominance by Kaboson Girls.
Cheptalal emerged as the new Bomet County champions with a stunning 3-1 sets victory.
The much-anticipated final in the ongoing second term secondary school ball games, initially slated for Boito field, was shifted to the larger IAAF stadium due to overwhelming fan turnout and high public interest.
According to Senior Principal Florence Koech, Cheptalal's win was more than just a match victory but a culmination of a six-year journey of persistence, discipline, and strategic investment in talent. "We've worked patiently and consistently for this moment, to finally lift the trophy and break the streak of my former school, Kaboson; it is a bittersweet moment.
