A free medical camp held at Malaba Township Primary School grounds in Teso North Sub- County witnessed an overwhelming turnout of clients, a testament of the need for health care services in the area.
The beneficiaries who came from both within and outside Busia County expressed heartfelt appreciation for the professional healthcare services they received.
The medical camp, organized through a partnership between the County Government of Busia and the M-Pesa Foundation, offered comprehensive healthcare services including general doctor consultations, women's health services, cancer screening, eye care consultations, dental screening, disability assessment and therapy services, immunization, and other essential medical services.
During the official opening of the camp, Arthur Odera, the Busia County Deputy Governor and CECM for Health and Sanitation emphasized the critical importance of regular health check-ups, particularly for residents above 40 years of age.
