Chaos erupted at Litein Boys High School on Wednesday night after students allegedly went on a rampage protesting over undercooked rice served during dinner.  According to a police report, the situation spiralled out of control following the evening meal, necessitating intervention by law enforcement as the students started damaging school property.  The chaos reportedly began around 9 pm in the school dining hall, where initial complaints turned into widespread unrest.

Students then began shattering windows, breaking furniture, and even vandalized the main gate.

Police successfully quelled the riot after hours of engagement, though the full extent of the damage is still being assessed.  An image of Litein Boys High School on July 9, 2025.
