Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has announced a raft of police reforms aimed at enhancing service delivery and restoring public trust among the officers.

Speaking at an event in Garsen Constituency in Tana River County on Thursday afternoon, Murkomen noted that the reforms would include rigorous and frequent training of police officers.

According to the CS, all the police officers in Kenya would soon be subjected to fresh training to equip them with the necessary skills to effectively and responsibly discharge their duties.

He also revealed that the continuous training sessions were essential to ensure the safety of police officers and minimise harm to the public.
