Security agencies in Naivasha have retrieved the body of Jane Wambui, the Head Nurse of Paediatric Care at a facility in Naivasha, who was reported missing on Sunday, July 6.
In a statement on Thursday, July 10, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed that it had apprehended Wambui's househelp, who is the prime suspect in her murder. According to Naivasha OCPD Anthony Keter, who spoke in an interview with TV47 on Thursday, July 10, the recovery was made after the suspect led police to the location where the victim was buried.
Keter stated that the body was found in a shallow grave, approximately three feet deep, just behind her house.
Wambui went missing on Friday, July 4, 2025, after leaving her workplace en route home according to DCI. "On Sunday, we received a missing persons report, and after investigations, we have been able to arrest one suspect who has directed us to where the body of the victim was buried at the premises of her house in a shallow grave around three feet," Keter said.
