Several people are feared to have died following a grisly road accident involving multiple vehicles in Kijauri Town, Borabu Constituency, Nyamira County.
At least five people are reported to have lost their lives in the tragic crash, which occurred on the afternoon of Friday, July 11, with others believed to have sustained injuries.
While the exact cause of the accident remains unclear, preliminary reports indicate that the crash happened after a lorry, reportedly overloaded with timber, veered off a steep section of the road and collided with a matatu and a private car.
Although local law enforcement is yet to confirm the number of casualties, images from the scene showed the mangled wreckage of the lorry and the private car, with the matatu also sustaining significant damage.
