The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has elected Commissioner Fahima Araphat Abdallah as its Vice Chairperson.
The announcement was made following the Commission's 288th Plenary Meeting held Friday, July 11, 2025, hours after the new team was officially sworn in.
In a statement, Chairperson Erastus Ethekon stated: "The Commission takes this opportunity to congratulate Commissioner Fahima on her election," adding that IEBC remains committed to strengthening Kenya's democracy.
At 32, Fahima becomes the youngest Vice Chairperson in the Commission.
