The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has confirmed that it charges Ksh1,000 for inter-institutional transfers.
While the applicable fee is not a new development, the clarification follows a series of complaints from a section of students and parents who questioned why they had to pay for the inter-institutional transfers.
In a statement, KUCCPS revealed the exact charges, warning students not to fall prey to anyone asking for more cash. ''Inter-institution transfer application fee is Ksh1,000,'' the statement by KUCCPS read in part.
