Over 2,000 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) across Kiambu County are undergoing intensive training on the Basic Module.
This bold move is aimed at transforming access and delivery of primary healthcare at the grassroots level.
The training, spearheaded by the County Government of Kiambu in partnership with Amref Health Africa in Kenya, Amref International University, and the MasterCard Foundation, comes on the heels of a successful Health Entrepreneurship Training that equipped participants with crucial skills in financial management, governance, marketing, and risk mitigation.
The current 10-day training program is set to create a robust community health workforce empowered to offer essential services such as maternal and child healthcare, nutrition counselling, sanitation awareness, and early disease detection.
