The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Thursday arrested Rongo Member of Parliament Paul Abuor over alleged conflict of interest and theft of public funds.
According to the EACC detectives, the legislator was arrested due to the award of tenders worth Ksh122 million by the Rongo National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) to companies associated with him during the Financial Year 2017/2018 to 2024/2025.
Preliminary investigations established that the suspect, together with his relative registered a private company for which they issued a tender for the construction of classrooms and drilling of boreholes worth Ksh122 million.
