In the heart of Kericho, amidst the rolling tea plantations and bustling markets, Sophia Luceka is making a name for herself in an unlikely field-scrap metal dealing.
At just 24 years old, she's defying societal expectations and proving that hard work knows no gender. Sophia's journey began after completing her high school education in 2019.
Like many young people in her community, she dreamed of a better future but quickly realized that opportunities were scarce. "I wanted more for myself," she says. "But when you're dealt a tough hand, you have to play it.
