A section of Embu County leaders has maintained they are in the Government to stay despite the growing discontent from majority of residents who deem the UDA administration as oppressive.
The dissatisfaction has led to a growing culture of intolerance against leaders following heckling that took place at a presidential function three months ago.
The leaders said they will not bow to pressure to ditch the Government they supported wholeheartedly and voted to man as a county.
Led by Governor Cecily Mbarire, the leaders said it was incumbent upon the county to rally behind the Government so that they draw maximum benefits in terms of development projects. "We must hang on to see to it that the promises that this administration gave to us during the campaigns have come to fruition," the Governor said.
