Fourteen Kapsabet Boys High School students who scored a mean grade of A plain of 84 points during 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education have won a two-day mentorship trip program to Mombasa sponsored by Lake Victoria North Water Development Agency.
Agency Director Abraham Cheruyoit revealed that during the Agency's mentoring tour in Kapsabet Boys last year, they committed to airlift any KCSE candidate who will score a mean grade of A plain of 84 points to Mombasa for a two-day mentorship training.
He said after the agency's motivation talk in Kapsabet Boys last year, 14 students scored straight As of 84 points this being a big improvement from 2023 KCSE where the school managed only 5 students with A plain of 84 points. "So, we are here to fulfil our promise by ensuring the 14 students who scored our target marks are taken to Mombasa on behalf of others," Cheruiyot told the 14 best performers.
The Director said Lake Victoria North Water Development Agency started a students' mentorship program in 2023 within six counties where it operates as a way of preparing young people while joining higher institutions of learning and also enlighten them on how to cope with life after college. "We have realised that if they are brought together and talked to especially on how to use social media responsibly.
