Senior Counsel Martha Karua has revealed that she was not independently representing blogger Ndiang'ui Kinyagia but acted jointly with the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
However, when the LSK requested to recuse themselves from the case, she had no choice but to follow suit and withdraw from the case.
The People's Liberation Party(PLP) leader was responding to concerns that the blogger had been abandoned after he was accused of self-abduction. "But now, even the LSK and Martha Karua are distancing themselves from his case.
As the spotlight dims, he's been left to face the consequences alone, abandoned by the very voices that once rallied behind the cry, 'Free Ndiangui'," the post read in part.
