Democratic Congress Party(DCP) Nairobi Patron Irungu Nyakera has questioned President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's push for the use of national ID cards instead of the official voter register in the 2027 general election.
In a statement on Tuesday, July 29, Nyakera accused the two leaders of collaborating to rig the upcoming elections.
He claimed that the shift from the official register to ID cards alone was part of a larger plan to influence the outcome of the vote. "The sudden push to use ID cards instead of the voter register is a well-coordinated narrative by Ruto and Raila to steal the 2027 elections," Nyakera claimed.
