Peter Kaluma, the MP for Homa Bay Town, has reiterated calls for Edwin Sifuna to resign from his roles as Senate Minority Leader and Secretary-General of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
In a statement shared on his X account on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Kaluma said the Nairobi Senator must either step down voluntarily or be removed by the party.
Kaluma accused Sifuna of causing division within the ODM, adding that Sifuna's public comments against the party's cooperation with the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) have harmed ODM's unity. "You can be made powerful when young to the point you come to lose yourself.
