The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) now says that motorists who have already updated their vehicle records do not need to repeat the process.

The Authority noted that the notice issued on July 29, which provided guidelines for updating the vehicle records and duty status, was only meant for motorists who had yet to update their details.

While addressing the matter on Wednesday morning, NTSA said that the directive was also meant for vehicle owners who previously uploaded incorrect information to their system.

NTSA's clarification followed concerns by a section of motorists who demanded to know why the Authority initially directed all motorists to update their information without specifying.
