There was tension in Kitengela, Kajiado County, on Friday after a senior police officer allegedly killed a junior officer in a fight over a woman.
Constable Manasseh Ithiru, who was attached to the Kitengela Police Station, died shortly after he was pushed down from a balcony by Sergeant Abubakar, an officer at Athi River Police Station.
The two officers are said to have been dating one woman, identified as 27-year-old Irene Wavinya Nzioka.
According to a senior police officer who spoke anonymously, the two officers met at the woman's house situated at Deliverance Road and started fighting. "Sergent Abubakar allegedly pushed Constable Manasseh down from the balcony of the house.
