President William Ruto has announced that he will be making his first trip to the United States since Donald Trump began his second term as president.

He revealed that he intends to use the trip to meet with the organisers of the Grammy Awards, with the aim of bringing world-class music studios to Kenya.

Ruto announced this during his speech at the Kenya National Music Festival State Gala at Sagan State Lodge in Nyeri on Saturday August 16.

He confirmed that a key goal of his visit, which coincides with the United Nations General Assembly in New York, is to secure partnerships that will enable Kenyan artists to produce music of an international standard.
