At least two people have died and three others have been injured following a horrific road accident on the Nairobi-Mombasa highway at Kwa Mautiiyo in Malili.
The accident occurred on Saturday, August 16, when a trailer rammed into an oncoming pick-up truck before crashing into another trailer travelling in the same direction.
Reports suggest that the pickup truck was attempting to overtake one of the trailers when it collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.
According to David Kandie, the Athi River South Sub-County Police Commander, the accident occurred at around 7:30 am and killed the two victims instantly.
