In a circular dated August 15, the Commission acting CEO Everleen Mitei revealed that it had received 3,718 applications from teachers seeking to transition to Junior Schools.
However, after a thorough vetting process at the Sub-County and County levels, only 1,436 were found to meet the set requirements. "Out of the 3,718 applicants, 1,436 were validated and verified and found to be qualified for deployment to Junior Schools," Mitei stated.
According to the Commission, the deployment exercise will now be spearheaded by Sub-County and County Directors, who will be required to vet the listed teachers further before issuing official deployment letters.
For a primary school teacher to qualify for redeployment, they must have an active registration with TSC, be currently employed by the Commission, and not be under interdiction or facing a disciplinary case.
