Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has threatened to impeach the Health Cabinet Secretary, Aden Duale, following remarks he made over the weekend targeting the Mount Kenya region.
In a statement on Monday, August 18, the senator relayed that Duale's remarks, which alluded that the Mount Kenya region saw itself as a superior community, were tribal and divisive.
As such, he affirmed that only a politician, not a cabinet secretary, would get away with such remarks; thus, an impeachment might be the solution to the matter. "Hon Duale, you're a Cabinet Secretary, a policymaker, not a tribal politician.
This weekend's shareholding talk is pure poison, dragging Kenya back to the dark days of 2007 and spreading fear.
