Peter Ayiro, the Alliance Girls' High School teacher who was named in damning grooming allegations involving students at the institution, has quit his job.
In a letter obtained by Kenyans.co.ke, Ayiro wrote to the Teachers Service Commission, revealing that his resignation would take effect immediately. "I hereby tender my resignation from the Teachers Service Commission, effective immediately under the terms and conditions of service," he stated.
In July, news broke that the teacher of German, who also served as the Christian Union (CU) patron at the prestigious high school, had allegedly been manipulating the students and having a sexual relationship with them once they came of age.
