A man from Nairobi has admitted to orchestrating a fraudulent SIM swap scheme targeting former Central OCS Samson Talaam, during an investigation into the death of blogger Albert Ojwang.
On August 19, the man, identified as Dennis Musyimi, confessed to Milimani Magistrate Dolphina Alego that he had illegally obtained Talaam's SIM card on 16 June 2025.
He also admitted to using the SIM to solicit money from the public for personal gain.
Musyimi was charged alongside Amos Kimanzi and James Munyithya, who both denied any involvement.
