Cleophas Malala, the Deputy Leader of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP), risks arrest after a man filed a formal report against him at the offices of the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) over recent remarks about the death of the first family's children.
The man, identified as Stanley Mwangi Wairimu, arrived at the DCI offices headquarters in Kiambu on Tuesday, August 19, and vowed to camp there for all the necessary days until the officers arrest Malala.
A week ago, Cleophas Malala sparked a heated debate when he made remarks suggesting that he would cause President Ruto the same pain felt by parents who have lost children in recent extrajudicial killings. ''The US has begun investigating the recent extrajudicial killings; that's why President William Ruto is pushing for compensation.
