The Social Health Authority has debunked claims that some hospitals have yet to receive payments from the authority.

In a statement on Wednesday, August 20, SHA relayed that so far, Ksh3.4 billion has been disbursed to all contracted facilities countrywide.

This Ksh3.4 billion had been disbursed to fund claims for inpatient care, drugs and substance abuse cover, mental wellness, critical care, and surgeries. "The Social Health Authority (SHA) has disbursed KES 3.4 billion to health facilities nationwide for Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) claims for inpatient care, drugs and substances abuse cover, mental wellness, critical care, and surgeries," the statement read in part.
