The County Government of Bomet is committed to support efforts aimed at mitigating climate change and its effects.
This includes the County's undertaking in ensuring the full implementation of the Financing Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) programme in the region.
Speaking during a workshop for officials of the Bomet County Climate Change Steering Committee, the Climate Change Unit and Monitoring and Evaluation unit, Bomet Governor Prof Hillary Barchok, said that his administration was keen on promoting climate resilience activities in the county, towards the larger goal of taming overall global climate change and its effects on the environment.
He called upon stakeholders to upscale their involvement in supporting local communities in capacity building in the adoption of climate smart practices in their day to day activities.
