The Tanzanian government has introduced a mandatory air travel fee for all foreigners travelling to Tanzania, including Kenyans.

According to the East African newspaper, the government has introduced new passenger facilitation fees for international arrivals and departures, which will come into effect on November 1, 2025.

Set by the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA), the new prices are $45 (approximately Ksh5,814) for a one-way ticket and $90 (approximately Ksh11,628) for a return ticket.

According to the report, children under two years old will be exempt from paying the fee.
