Hundreds of youthful artisans in various trades have been accredited by National Construction Authority (NCA), empowering them to be considered for public works engagements.
Presiding over the accreditation ceremony at Nduru high school in South Mugirango, constituency after a brief orientation, Kisii Women Representative, Dorice Aburi, decried the suffering artisans underwent after completing their courses.
She observed despite the training, the artisans could not qualify for government jobs for lack of certification from NCA.
Aburi urged the government to offer jobs to the accredited artisans whenever Affordable Housing projects were undertaken in their areas.
