Moi University Council has sent the university Vice Chancellor Isaac Kosgey for a compulsory 8-month annual leave effective January 30, to allow for the restructuring of the university management.
While announcing the changes, the council chairperson, Noah Midamba, revealed the decision was reached during a meeting held on Thursday and Friday this week. Others who were also sent on leave are the University Deputy Vice Chancellors Isaac Migeni and Henry Kiriamiti.
The two were sent on a one-year leave.
The council was appointed by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba this month and mandated to bring order to the troubled university.
