A mystery has gripped Ruiru in Kiambu County after it emerged that a worker at a furniture store disappeared following a fire that broke out six weeks ago.

Following the fire, bones were discovered, and the furniture shop owners said the bones belonged to a dog, a fact that the family disputes.

Joseph Ng'ang'a reportedly went missing in unclear circumstances after a fire razed down a section of the multimillion-shilling shop on December 18, while working within the premises of the Modern Furniture Pacific.

The family of Ng'ang'a poked holes over the incident, believing that their kin was burnt in the inferno, adding that there was a clear cover-up at play by the management.  At the time of the fire incident, there were no reported injuries or deaths reported, with the cause of the fire still yet to be established.
