Jubilee party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni now says that Mount Kenya voters are regretting having ignored former President Uhuru Kenyatta's warning over his successor.
Speaking on Radio Maisha on Monday, Kioni said the larger Mount Kenya region is waiting for the former president to give direction on 2027 politics. "Many will try forming parties but the truth is that Mount Kenya residents have admitted that in 2022 the mountain made a mistake when we ignored Uhuru's warning.
It's not that we are waiting for him to come back but for him to guide us, we will be grateful," Kioni said.
Kenyatta had initially warned the Mt.Kenya region against voting for his then-deputy William Ruto in August 2022.
