The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) has called for applications to join panels set to review the senior schools for the final stage of implementing the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) system.
In a notice issued via the government publication MyGov, KICD called for teachers, teacher educators, either in colleges or universities, and professionals to help develop, review, and approve curricula, programmes, and curriculum support materials for senior schools. "The KICD invites teachers, teacher educators (in colleges and universities), and professionals in the industry with relevant qualifications and experience to apply for membership in subject panels for senior schools," reads part of the notice issued on Tuesday, 4th February.
Subject panels are responsible for initiating and guiding curriculum development activities in their respective subjects.
They keep existing syllabuses under constant review and make necessary recommendations for updates or improvements.
