Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has reminisced about his childhood friendship with Aga Khan as he mourned his death on Wednesday, February 5.

Taking to an official statement on his X (formally Twitter), the former president revealed that he has lost a childhood friend with whom they shared strong connections since the days of Sir Ibu Pirbhai, the then leader of Ismaili in Kenya.

Sir Ibu Pirbhai served as the Chairman of the Leaders' International Forum and was deeply involved in the community's development.

He was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1952 and received several honours for his contributions.
