TikTok has disclosed that it deleted over 334,000 videos from its platform during the third quarter of last year for allegedly violating its community guidelines.
In its Q3 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report released on Thursday, February 6, the video-sharing platform revealed 93 per cent of the videos were removed within 24 hours.
The move is part of TikTok's proactive content moderation efforts in Kenya which highlights its dedication to maintaining a safe and trustworthy platform. According to TikTok, the reason for the removal of the videos from its platform included content that lacked integrity and authenticity and those that infringed on mental and behavioural health.
