Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has committed to facilitating private sector expansion across Africa should he secure the African Union Commission chairmanship.

During a visit to Business Bay Square (BBS) mall in Eastleigh on Wednesday, Odinga said private investment is crucial to Africa's development.

He noted that the continent presents immense opportunities for entrepreneurs willing to invest in infrastructure, technology and industry. "These kinds of developments can play a crucial role in creating jobs, especially for our youth and addressing unemployment challenges," said Odinga.

He was accompanied by Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan, Eastleigh North ward MCA Ahmad Dabar and BBS chairperson Abdiweli Mohamed Hassan.
