There is no rift between President William Ruto and his second in command, Kithure Kindiki, at least according to the latter.  Kindiki, who has been missing from the public for weeks now resurfaced on Saturday, dispelling rumours of a split between the two.  The claims emerged after Kindiki, who since taking office in November has been with the Head of State in many major public events, quietly left the public space, making no appearances even for the burial of National Assembly Moses Wetangula's mother on Friday.

Speaking during the wedding ceremony of the son of Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano in Tigoni, Kiambu County, on Saturday, January 4, Kindiki revealed that he has been on holiday and his absence did not have anything to do with claims of division. ''I am left with only a few hours as my holiday is coming to an end.

Therefore, I need to enjoy whatever is left.

Ignore everything else completely.
