Mandera County Government has laid the foundation stone for the construction of 10 new classrooms at Mandera Teachers Training College.
The project is directly funded by the Office of the President with President William Ruto issuing the directive during his visit to Mandera County last week.
The newly constructed classrooms are expected to benefit more than 500 trainees who are set to join the teachers training college.
While laying the foundation stone for the 10 classrooms, Mandera Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif emphasized the importance of completing the project on time to enable more students to enroll in the college. "This project must be completed on time to ensure that our aspiring teachers have a conducive learning environment," he stated.
