The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), on Sunday evening, confirmed a security breach on their X and Facebook pages.
Taking to social media just a few moments after the hack, DCI clarified all information shared during that period did not come from the DCI and that a full investigation had been launched to bring the perpetrators to book. "Security alert!
For some moment this evening, we experienced a cyber-attack on the DCI digital platforms (X and Facebook), but have since regained full control," part of the statement read. "During the short period, the cyber criminals who attempted to take over the accounts posted the information captured in the screenshot below.
Note: The information is therefore fake and not from the DCI.
