The Narok County Director of Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Lesayo Megiri, has challenged parents to work closely with teachers to produce better results for their children in their national examination.
Megiri warned that poor relationships between the teacher and parents affect the learners, compromise the performance of children in school, and consequently affect the future of the students.
He challenged parents to spare time to visit their children in school whenever they are called upon, so as to ensure a healthy teacher-parent and student relationship. "Parents should be available to see their children and discuss matters pertaining to them whenever they are called upon in school.
They should support the teachers to deliver their mandate and not fight with the teachers as in some cases," he said.
