Lari Member of Parliament, Joseph Mburu Kahangara, has unveiled plans to tarmac Mung'ere Road in Nyanduma Ward, Lari Sub-County, which will address a long-standing infrastructure challenge that has plagued residents for long.

The road has remained impassable, particularly during the rainy season, after years of neglect by previous administrations.

Kahangara noted that his administration has mobilised resources and partnered with the national government to facilitate the tarmacking of the road. "The tender has already been advertised, but the available funds remain insufficient due to the high demand for road upgrades across the constituency," he stated.

The MP said through national budget reallocations, his administration secured Sh30 million, while the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA) allocated an additional Sh45 million, bringing the total funding for the project to Sh75 million.
