Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni has condemned Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga over claims that his Murang'a counterpart Irungu Kang'ata risked losing his political seat if he failed to support former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

Governor Kahiga, on Monday, February 10, asked Kang'ata to make public his stand and realign his political ambition with that of the former DP or risk losing his seat in the next general elections.

Addressing mourners at a burial in Laikipia County, Kahiga said that the Mt Kenya region was fully behind Gachagua and they would follow the former DP's direction without question.  "We would like to tell Kang'ata to listen to the ground since we will follow the direction in which the Mt Kenya Kingpin will declare," Kahiga stated.
