Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Principal Secretary Esther Muoria, has urged high school candidates who recently finished their secondary school education and did not qualify to join university to enroll in vocational training institutions.

Muoria extoled vocational institutions highlighting that they offer a wide variety of rich curricula designed to equip the Kenyan youths with essential skills for self-employment and national development.

Speaking in Homa Bay Tuesday, the PS highlighted that TVET trainers and tutors are well-equipped to provide the necessary skills to trainees so to produce market ready workforce. "I want to emphasise that nobody is a failure until you decide to be one.

I encourage those who have not attained the grades necessary for university to come to TVET institutions to gain skills, regardless of their grades," she said. "We have trained our trainers at the Kenya School of TVET, and they possess the appropriate skills needed to train our young people," she added.
