Deputy Speaker Kathuri Murungi on Tuesday, February 12, confirmed the enforcement of the Senate's September 2023 resolution to suspend Orwoba following the adoption of the Committee of Powers and Privileges' report on her conduct. "Having considered this matter, and taking note of the judgment delivered by the Court on 15th January, 2025 and the orders therein, Sen.

Gloria Orwoba shall now forthwith commence her suspension."  "The 79 calendar days that were to be applied in the year 2023 will, therefore, run from today, Wednesday, February 12, 2025 to Thursday, May 1.
