Nominated Senator Gloria Orwoba has asked her colleagues in the Senate to forgive her for misconduct that led to her suspension.

While leaving the Senate after Deputy Speaker Murungi Kathuri issued a communication on the implementation of the resolution of the Senate regarding the report of the Committee of Powers and Privileges on her conduct, Orwoba acknowledged that she had learned from the experience and would conduct herself better upon her return. "I offer my apologies to the Members of this House and the members of staff whom I might have offended while pursuing my oversight duties.

Please take this as my sincere apology," Orwoba stated. "As you can see, I have learned how to present and represent people better.

I take responsibility for my actions and hope you can forgive me," she added.
