An employee of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has been found guilty of stealing a mobile phone worth Sh55,000.
Dedan Wamuya Mburu alias Kababa was convicted for stealing the phone from a recently adopted orphan of Sonko, a child whose father had tragically been stabbed and killed in Mathare.
The crime took place on February 10, 2025, at Matumbato Road, Upperhill area, within Nairobi County.
Mburu, a former house employee of the former governor, admitted before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego to possessing the mobile phone but denied stealing it intentionally.
