Two people lost their lives and several others are nursing injuries after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with another oncoming vehicle along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway on Sunday, January 5.
The accident that involved a head-on collision between an Eldoret Shuttle Nissan matatu and a public service vehicle bus took place near the Prison Bridge in Naivasha.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was headed to Nairobi while the matatu was going in the opposite direction.
Motorists were urged to exercise vigilance and avoid speeding, especially as people rush back to the city ahead of school reopening.
