Kirinyaga County will extend the Kerugoya-Kutus Bulk Water Project to cover an additional 1000 households in Mutithi Ward.

Speaking while distributing 164 high-density water pipes for the Kinyaga Water Project, Governor Anne Waiguru said with increased capacity, the county can now supply more families with the commodity.

Already, about 400,000 residents of Kirinyaga County are enjoying a steady supply of clean water thanks to the new bulk water project. "The Kinyaga Water Project will help in ensuring that residents, key institutions, and markets such as Kagio and Kandongu have a reliable water supply," she explained.

Waiguru, who spoke at Kiangogu village in Mwea West, said the pipes will help in the distribution of water sourced from the Rwamuthambi River.
