A former nominated MCA was on Saturday arrested in connection to the mayhem that saw a suspect lynched by an irate mob that stormed a police station.

On January 3, an irate mob stormed Chemase Police Station in Nandi and flushed out a murder suspect before stoning and beheading him and setting his body on fire.

In a bizarre twist, the mob went back to the police post, vandalised it, and set it ablaze, an incident which left residents and authorities puzzled.

Days after the incident, the former nominated MCA, Carren Atieno Muga, was arrested along the Chemelil-Miwani-Kisumu road, with police linking her to an organ-harvesting syndicate.  She is the mother of one of the prime suspects in the murder of Enock Kipsang.
