Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, and Machakos are among the regions expected to receive weekend rainfall, according to the latest weather forecast. In the daily forecast for the next five days, the Kenya Meteorological Department announced chances of showers in a few places in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, South-Eastern Lowlands, and Lake Victoria Basin. According to the forecast for the period from Saturday, February 8, to Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka, are to expect rainfall on Saturday afternoon and night. The forecast predicts further that there will be rainfall on Sunday afternoon, with the morning expected to be sunny and the night partly cloudy.
As for next week, Monday to Wednesday will be sunny in the morning and afternoon and partly cloudy at night.
